Four members of the Holdenville Wolverine Basketball Team have earned All-66 Conference Honors. Rowdy Elkins, Memphis Thionnet and RJ Lowe were selected to the Boy’s All-66 Conference Team and Darcy Shepherd was selected to the All-66 Conference Girl’s Team.
Rowdy Elkins has been selected as an All-66 Conference player.

STATE CHAMPIONS!

The Holdenville High School Powerlifting Team has earned the title of state champions! In Two divisions! The freshmen powerlifters won the state championship trophy in their division and the varsity is bringing home the state championship trophy if their division.
Waylon Jeffrey is the freshman state champion powerlifter in 220 pound division! Waylon posted a total of 1095 pounds!

The Holdenville Junior High Powerlifters have set the standard for the expectations of this year’s powerlifters! The junior high powerlifters began the day with a state championship performance by Ruth Barker! Ruth entered the 97 pound division weighing 95 pounds. Barker managed to lift 90 pounds in the bench press,190 pounds in the dead lift and 90 pounds in the squat for a total of 430 pounds. Niya Nickason placed third in the 97 pound division. Niya weighed in at 92.5 pounds. Her squat was 140 pounds, bench press was 70 pounds and her dead lift was 185 pounds!
Aspen Sullivan placed 4 in her division at the state championship powerlifting meet!

WOLVERINES ARE DISTRICT CHAMPS

The Wolverines were behind 32-47 when Coach Dillion Snow called a time out shortly after half-time. Things were look-ing bleak and something needed to change. Holdenville couldn’t make a shot and Jones couldn’t miss. What ever Coach Snow said inspired his team to play better. Things weren’t going well. The Wolverines weren’t playing well. They had almost zero confidence and Jones was full of confidence and looked unbeatable.
Rowdy Elkins shot 17 free throws in the Wolverines game with Jones and made 16. Holdenville will play the first round in the regional tournament at Jones on Tuesday at 7:30.
