George Calvin Loman, lifelong Seminole County resident, passed away at his son’s home in Haileyville, Oklahoma on Monday, January 24, 2022, at the age of 93 years. Calvin was the son of Chris and Ethel Mae (Halk) Loman, born on May 6, 1928, in the Salem community near Henryetta, Oklahoma.

Holdenville Girls excel The Holdenville High School girl’s basketball team had two excellent outings this past week. Holdenville avenged a disappointing 2 point loss to Prague in the Consolation finals of the 66 Conference Tournament by walloping the Red Devils 52-25 on Friday night.
Holdenville power lifting champion,Sydney Robinson, placed first in the heavy weight division in the Chandler Power Lifting Meet. Robinson was able to lift 610 pounds in the squat.
