The Holdenville Wolverines traveled to Davis last Friday and played the Wolves for the district championship. The first half was a defensive struggle and the second half was just the opposite.

The Holdenville Wolverine defense featured a bend but don’t break theme when they faced a Community Christian School passing attack. The Royals threw the ball around but they could only muster up 7 points before the last play of the game when Holdenville’s reserves gave up a second score of the night.
The Wolverine offense uses a series of fake hand-offs and misdirection. In this picture # 30 Bo Black has the ball while a Community Christian School defender attempts to tackle # 0, Abe Gomez. The Holdenville Wolverines gridiron squad defeated a hard hitting Dibble Demon team last Friday by a score of 22-7. The contest was a classic to say the least.
How do you start an important district game? It starts with a kickoff! Abe Gomez kicked off for the Wolverines. Joe Remis headed down field for a tackle in the Wolverines’ 22-7 win over Dibble.

Holdenville’s game at Beggs was a tale of two halves. The Wolverines and Devils traded touchdowns and conversions during the first 24 minutes and that led to a 28-26 half time lead for the Blue and Gold.
Wolverine blockers, # 15, Tenetke Lowe and # 56, Chris Palomera throw blocks that spring free running back # 30 Bo Black. Holdenville defeated Beggs 52-26 and will host Dibble for an important district game on Thursday.
