The Holdenville Wolverine football team traveled to Luther last Friday to participate in a four-way scrimmage. Holdenville faced off with Chisholm, Luther and US Grant. The results were obvious.

The fifth annual Wolverine Pie ( In the Face ) Auction was by all means a success. The Wolverine faithful showed up, opened their check books and supported the teams. The best thing to be said could be that there was a significant of money raised ($ 8700) and everyone had a good time.

Wolverine gridiron standout, Alyc Harjo, played against high school competition for the final time last Thursday. It wasn’t just ordinary high school competition. It was the best the state had during the 2025 season.

The Holdenville High School athletic program will add a a Wolverine flavor to the 25-26 Oklahoma Coaches Association All-State Games.

There’s plenty of reasons to look froward to the 2026 Wolverine softball season. A quick comparison of the first day of practice to the 2025 first day would be proof of that.

The Holdenville Cross Country course received a preseason test last weekend when the Holdenville National Guard Army unit used the area for a two-mile run. The soldiers in the unit are required to periodically pass a number of physical fitness tests.

The Holdenville Wolverines have been good the past few years. One of the consequences of becoming one of the elite teams in your class involves scheduling. The teams who have been on the schedule for years seem to shy away from scheduling the tough teams in their class.
