Wolverine Sports by Tom Turner

Body
The Holdenville Wolverine defense featured a bend but don’t break theme when they faced a Community Christian School passing attack. The Royals threw the ball around but they could only muster up 7 points before the last play of the game when Holdenville’s reserves gave up a second score of the night.
The Wolverine offense uses a series of fake hand-offs and misdirection. In this picture # 30 Bo Black has the ball while a Community Christian School defender attempts to tackle # 0, Abe Gomez. There are several Wolverine clearing the way for Bo Black. # 10 Camron Swayze, # 11, Tank Redmond, # 15 Tenetke Lowe,# 52, Aaron Torres,# 7 Brett Bruner, # 51, Jaxon Cox, # 56, Chris Palomera, and # 75, Roper Stafford.

Pastor, oh Pastor, You speak far and true You speak of God’s word And how he loves me and you. Pastor, oh Pastor You never twist words About how the devil tricked us all And about the lies we’ve heard And so, I say, Pastor, oh Pastor Our Pastor Dane Can you be our pastor once more and lead us to truth that rules and reigns..
October is Pastor Appreciation month and many local pastors were honored. A very special gift was given to Pastor Dane Robinson of the Church of the Nazarene by Naylan Murray. She surprised him by writing the above poem for him.
