The Holdenville Wolverines traveled to Antlers to participate in the first of two pre-season scrimmages. And, as always the coaches have found some things to be pleased about and some things that need improvement.
The Holdenville defense swarmed this running back in the Wolverines’ scrimmage at Antlers. Holdenville will scrimmage at Eufaula on Thursday.

HHS CAMPUS CHATTER BY Barbara Doyle The suspense is broken and here it is! The big six cheerleaders have been chosen at last. They include Linda Hollis, Pat Holliday and Mary Ellen Ewing, top row, Carole McLarty, Pat Jones and LaVerne Mayfield, bottom row. Mrs. Jim Hamilton will sponsor the pep club and Patsy Bartlett will head the group as president. Other officers are Linda Renfrow, vice president, Phyllis McLean, secretary. The “Wolverettes” decided on gold v-neck sweaters and navy blue skirts as their uniforms for this year.

The Veterans History Project is coming to Holdenville thanks to the efforts of two-purpleheart- recipient, Doyle Tampleton. The Veterans History Project at the Library of Congress collects, preserves and makes accessible the firsthand recollections of U.S.
