Wolverines Tested in First Scrimmage Holdenville played host to an extremely good Okemah team last Thursday and the Wolverines learned a few things. The first time to go against another varsity squad is always a learning experience.

The Fall fast-pitch regular season begins in August and the playoffs begin the third week in September. That makes for a short regular season! There’s a lot of games to play and a short time to play them! Holdenville’s season began on Monday and the Wolverines played back to back days with the Morris Eagles. Unfortunately Holdenville came out on the short end of both games. The Wolverines had a bad case of first game jitters at the start of Monday’s game and lost 14-11. The Wolverines traveled to Morris on Tuesday and lost 7-5.
Holdenville hurler, Cylee Dunn, winds up to throw a strike in Holdenville’s contest with Morris. Cylee and her teammates will face off with Eufaula and Tishomingo this week.

Fall Sports Seasons begin The Holdenville High School sports seasons will begin in a flurry this week. The softball team will play three games this week! The cross country team will host an invitational meet! Football practice will begin! The band is practicing! Fall sports will officially begin! Softball season starts! The softball team will host Morris on Monday, make a return trip to Morris on Tuesday, and travel to Meeker on Friday! Wolverine softball coach, Rick Scott, is expected to put another excellent team on the field! The games should be exciting! Holdenville hosts Cross country meet The Holdenville High School cross country team will host the Wolverine Invitational on Saturday.
Ready! Set! Go! This group of Holdenville cross country runners take off on another sprint as they prepare for this Saturday’s meet. Holdenville will begin the 2021 season with the Wolverine Invitational at Holdenville Lake!

Softball season set to start The 2021 fast pitch softball season will begin Monday August 9 when the Wolverines host Morris. The game time is set for 5 on Monday and the two squads will face-off the next day at Morris.
