Coach Rick Scott’s softball bunch played 7 games and won 5 of the 7.

Holdenville defeated the Demons 12-0 on Monday and 12-1 on Tuesday. Holdenville won the first round of the 66 Conference Tournament with a 12-2 win over Meeker and then took on the highly ranked Chandler Lions in the second round. The Lions came out on top 0-8 and sent the Wolverines into the losers bracket. Holdenville battled back with an 8-7 victory over Prague and an 8-3 win over Seminole. The back-to-back wins set up a rematch with Chandler and this time the Lions sent the Wolverines home by a score of 10-0.

There was a year back in the mid-20th century when Wewoka won the state championship and Holdenville was the Tigers toughest game.
