Body Holdenville hosts Wewoka Both Holdenville Basketball teams are fresh off wins in the consolation finals at the Latta Tournament and both the boys and girls hope to carryover that momentum when they play host to their number one rival, Wewoka, on Tuesday.
The Holdenville High School girls’ basketball team defeated Rattan45-36 to capture the Consolation trophy at the Latta Tournament. Body Wolverine Basketball Begins The Holdenville Wolverine basketball season began Thursday at Seminole with both the boys’ and girls’ teams dropping contests to the Chieftains.
Holdenville’s basketball player # 23, Jessica Moore, blocks out a taller Chieftain player in the Wolverines contest at Seminole. Holdenville will participate this Thursday through Friday in the Latta Tournament.

Body Football Off-Season Begins There was a tremendous contrast between the 2019 Wolverine football team and the 2020 football squad. The Wolverines made a jump from being non-competitive to competitive.

Wolverines drop play-off game to Davis

Body There were 16 schools that couldn’t field a team in the first round of the 2020 state play-offs. That’s a fourth of the 64 team field that was listed in the playoff bracket. The CoVid-19 virus has made the 2020 football season a year like no other.

Body Wolverine’s open play-offs at Davis Apparently the Holdenville Wolverines will travel to Davis this Friday to face the Wolves in the first round of the 2020 class 2A state playoffs.
Golden Pride Baritone Player, William Douglas, is an 8th grader in the Holdenville High School Marching Band. William helped the Golden Pride achieve a Superior Rating in the State Marching Contest.

Body The Holdenville Wolverines played host to an extremely good Christian Heritage team last Friday and dropped a hard fought contest by a score of 29-14. The game was much closer than the score would indicate.
Wolverine charge.... Holdenville blockers # 20, Tatum Sanford and # 25, Elisha Tiger lead the charge to clear the way for # 4, Christian Zambrono. The Wolverines will travel to Crooked Oak this Friday for their last regular scheduled game.

Wolverine runners conclude 2020 season

Body The 2020 Holdenville Wolverine Cross Country team finished the season at Waurika Saturday. The team didn’t have a runner that finished high enough to make state but Holdenville head coach, Ryan Turner, was pleased with the improvement the team made through out the year.
