Body Coach Sara Morgan’s Wolverine softball team has also been sidelined by the CoVid virus. The Wolverines had to not only miss a week of practice but they also had postpone an important district game with Hugo. However everything is on go this week.

Body Haylie Turner was one of the top finishers in the Elementary Division of the Wolverine Invitational Cross-Country Meet. It’s too early to determine if Haylie will be the same caliber runner as her dad but the youngster is showing some promise.

Body There’s been some great teams in the history of Holdenville High School athletics and the Wolverine state championship track team of 1995 ranks near the top. Leslie (Curtis) Phillips was a member of that team.

Body Wolverine Softball girls down Byng 8-5 The Holdenville Wolverine traveled to Byng last Monday and defeated an extremely good Pirate softball team by a score of 8-5. Kaden Morris swung the big stick for the Wolverines.

Body Holdenville Wolverines hold inter-squad scrimmage. Holdenville head football coach, Monte Lewis, is excited about the Wolverines’ chances of putting a competitive team on the field this season.

Body Holdenville played host to their first cross country meet of the year last weekend with over a dozen teams traveling to Holdenville Lake to compete in the Wolverine Invitational.
