Wolverine Softball girls down Byng 8-5 The Holdenville Wolverine traveled to Byng last Monday and defeated an extremely good Pirate softball team by a score of 8-5. Kaden Morris swung the big stick for the Wolverines.
Wolverine pitcher Cylee Null got some valuable time on the mound when Holdenville whipped the Wewoka Tigers 13-2. Cylee pitched two innings in the Wolverine victory.

Holdenville Wolverines get ready for season

Holdenville Wolverines hold inter-squad scrimmage. Holdenville head football coach, Monte Lewis, is excited about the Wolverines’ chances of putting a competitive team on the field this season.
Holdenville defensive coordinator, Darin Johnson, address the Wolverines at the completion of Friday’s scrimmage. Coach Johnson went over the highs and lows of the teams inter-squad scrimmage.

Milligan first OU woman golfer to compete in USA’s Arnold Palmer Cup

NORMAN -- Kaitlin Milligan accepted an invitation to represent the United States in the 2020 Arnold Palmer Cup, it was announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America on recently. The junior will become the third Sooner to compete in the event, but the first on the women’s side. Kaitlin is the daughter of Dr. Michael and Kristi (Herdlitchka) Milligan of Norman. Kristi is a Holdenville High School graduate.

Wolverine Softball Team split games in opening week

The first week of softball season was indicative of the circumstances of 2020. The Wolverines were supposed to open the season at McAlester on Monday but one of the Buffalo players came down with the Covid-19 virus and the game was cancelled.
Holdenville Head Softball Coach talked things over with Bailee Black before Bailee took her turn at bat against the Valliant Bulldogs.

Cross Country team hosts Wolverine Invitational

Holdenville played host to their first cross country meet of the year last weekend with over a dozen teams traveling to Holdenville Lake to compete in the Wolverine Invitational. The meet has traditionally had 30-40 teams, but the viral conditions of 2020 has caused the meet to down scale.

Wolverine Sports to begin this week

The 2020-21 Holdenville High School sports season begin this week when the softball team travels to McAlester for their season opener followed by a home game with Valiant on Tuesday and a road game with perennial rival, Weowka, on Thursday. The Wolverines have been working out since mid July and are primed and ready to begin the 2020 season.
