Ward 1 City Council Nomination Tabled

Body
The city council voted six to two last Tuesday night to table the appointment the nomination for the vacant Ward 1 city council seat. A young woman with a degree in marketing and career in policy making came forward and contacted Councilwoman Lori Babb, saying she lived in Ward 1 and was highly interested in the open seat. After meeting with her and determining she was highly qualified, Ms. Babb put her on the agenda for a special meeting scheduled for the following Tuesday. Sometime over the weekend, Councilman Tony Wulf added former Councilman Ron Thetford to the agenda as another potential nominee. The nominee which Ms. Babb had originally placed on the agenda extended an invitation to the council members who did not know her, to come and meet her the Monday night before the meeting. Councilman Tony Wulf declined the invitation and Councilwoman Orr did not return the message. Councilman Ron Wiseman met with the nominee along with Councilman Lynn Lantz and Mayor John Massad.

I developed a file for SRB recipes and information. I found the somewhat elusive loaves at a small homespun bakery in Orangeburg, KY, known locally for its transparent pies and salt rising bread and at an old order Mennonite bakery in Bainbridge, OH. My Mennonite friends of Leesburg, OH, blessed me with instructions and a recipe.
