Velma Louella Youngblood passed away Friday, December 31, 2021, in her home in Holdenville, Oklahoma at the age of 93.

Velma was born November 18, 1928 in Creek County, Oklahoma to J.S. Foster and Ella (Reed) Foster. She attended Bristow Public School. Velma married O.C. Youngblood on August 30, 1947 in Bristow, Oklahoma. She was a retired seamstress from SeamPrufe since 1988. Velma enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Velma is preceded in death by her parents; husband O.C.; son, Ronald; and daughter-in-law, Pamela Youngblood.

She is survived by son Royce Young blood and wife Linda, and Rodney Youngblood and wife Jennea; granddaughters Heather MacKenzie and husband Randy, and Jamie Humphreys and husband Luke; and great-grandchildren Cade, Blake, Audrey and Caroline.

Funeral service was 10:30 AM Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at Capital Heights Missionary Baptist Church in Holdenville with Rev. Jim Crawford officiating. Interment followed at Holdenville Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Randy MacKenzie, Luke Humphreys, Cade MacKenzie, Joey Youngblood, Kenneth Brinlee and Gary Phillips.

Services were under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home, Holdenville, Oklahoma.
