Holdenville wins two from Atoka

Holdenville played Atoka on the road. Brayden Smith swung a big stick for the Wolverines and finished the game 4 for 4. Kaden Morris hit a ground rule double and a home run. Coach Morgan was pleased with her pitchers, Cheyenne Fixico and Faith Norman.

Wolverines run rule Hugo twice

Holdenville won both games at Hugo. The Wolverines made short work of the Buffaloes and won both games by run rule. Brayden Smith had an inside the park home run. Coach Morgan praised the hitting of Belle Mc-Farland, Emmy Mariott, Cylee Null, Stevi Huff, Kaden Morris,and Brooklyn Brown.

Holdenville takes important district win from Antlers

The Wolverines got a big win over a highly respected Antlers team. Brooklyn Brown led off the game with a bunt single and Kaden Morris brought her home with a base hit. Coach Morgan also praised the hitting of Cheyenne Fixico and Stevi Huff.

Idabel Foreits

The Wolverines’ sixth victory of the week was the result of another CoVid forfeit. The Idabel Warriors have had a virus breakout and weren’t able to field a team.

Senior Night

The Wolverines will make their fourth attempt at senior night when they host Antlers on Tuesday afternoon. The Wolverines will face Meeker on Thursday..

Huge Cross Country Meet

Over 400 runners showed up at Holdenville Lake last Saturday when the Wolverines played host to their second cross country meet of the season. The crowd of runners and fans was estimated to be well over 1500 people as over 16 teams came to compete in one mile, two mile and 3.2 mile races.
Madyson Richmond won a medal in the Holdenville cross country race last weekend. Madyson ran her race in 9 minutes flat.

Football Game Cancelled Wynnewood Forfeits game to Wolverines The Oklahoma State Department of Health stopped the Wynnewood Savages from loading their buses and traveling to Holdenville last Friday. Wynnewood Schools has had a outbreak of the Covid virus and the Savages weren’t permitted to play.

Wewoka wins rivalry clash 33-12

Fans never know what to expect when the Wewoka Tigers and the Holdenville Wolverines square off in their annual rivalry football game. A normal expectation based on the premise that Wewoka dominated the 2019 game by a score of 52-12 would be that the Tigers would run all over the Wolverines.

Softball Seniors

The senior members of the Wolverine softball team were to be honored at the senior night ceremony that was rained out last week. Senior night has been a challenge with the Covid pandemic and the fall rain.
