Holdenville takes important district win from Antlers

Body The Wolverines got a big win over a highly respected Antlers team. Brooklyn Brown led off the game with a bunt single and Kaden Morris brought her home with a base hit. Coach Morgan also praised the hitting of Cheyenne Fixico and Stevi Huff.

Body The Wolverines’ sixth victory of the week was the result of another CoVid forfeit. The Idabel Warriors have had a virus breakout and weren’t able to field a team.

Huge Cross Country Meet

Body Over 400 runners showed up at Holdenville Lake last Saturday when the Wolverines played host to their second cross country meet of the season. The crowd of runners and fans was estimated to be well over 1500 people as over 16 teams came to compete in one mile, two mile and 3.
Madyson Richmond won a medal in the Holdenville cross country race last weekend. Madyson ran her race in 9 minutes flat.

Softball Seniors

Body The senior members of the Wolverine softball team were to be honored at the senior night ceremony that was rained out last week. Senior night has been a challenge with the Covid pandemic and the fall rain.

Holdenville hosts Wewoka

Body The Holdenville High School football squad will open the 2020 football season Friday night when they face off with their perennial rival the Wewoka Tigers.

Wolverines miss a week

Body The CoVid virus has caused the Wolverines to miss a week of practice and caused both of Holdenville’s scrimmages to be cancelled. Wewoka, on the other hand, has a typical season thus far. The Tigers have been able to hold regular practices and has had two scrimmages.
