These kinds of weird scenarios have been happening through out the sports world and Holdenville is certainly included in the mix. The sports year started with the Oklahoma Secondary Schools Activities Association trying to imagine all the scenarios that could effect the district and state championships but there’s been an average of over 20 games postponed or cancelled every week and that’s more than anyone could have imagined.

Holdenville to Host Washington for Homecoming Queen to be crowned Friday night

Body
The Holdenville Wolverines will host the Washington Warriors this Friday for Homecoming 2020. This year’s Holdenville High School Homecoming will fit the MO for 2020, the year of the virus. Most of the time, the choice of opponents for homecoming is the weakest team on the home schedule but this year the Holdenville Homecoming will feature an opponent who is by far the strongest team on the schedule. Wash-ington is good. They’re real good. They’re the best team on the schedule. They’re the team that’s picked to win the district and the team that many pick to win state.

The Holdenville Wolverines traveled to Moore last Friday to face off with the Community Christian Royals. The Royals looked like a college team the first half and played like an average high school squad the second half. Or, maybe the Wolverines played like a less than average high school squad the first half and a better than average team after the intermission.

Holdenville lost 15 games in a row before walloping the North Rock Creek Panthers 40-0.
