Wolverine Softball Girls have been busy The Holdenville Defender 8U softball team put their ring hands on home plate to commemorate their season. The rings were awarded to the Defenders for their runner-up performance in the World Series! Holdenville Defenders World Series Runner-up The Holdenville Defenders 8U softball team earned a trip to the World Series with a perfect 22-0 season record and came up a bit short of winning the championship trophy.

Holdenville Defenders qualify for World Series Patty Gasso and the Oklahoma Sooners proved to the world that they were the best team in NCAA Division I softball by winning the Women’s College World Series in Oklahoma City. Holdenville has their own version of a great softball team and they’re on a quest to prove that they are the best of the best.

It’s time for some WNBA players to go to the Principal’s office There’s a theory amongst adults that the cruelest animal on the earth can be a middle school girl! A middle school age human is capable of saying and doing things to their own species that no other animal would do. ( Except maybe a praying mantis that bites off her mates head!) Football Stadium History The construction of the Holdenville High School football field was began in 1936 and completed in 1941. The stadium holds a multitude of childhood memories for everyone who has ever played inside that sand rock structure.There are many, many memories of whiffle ball games that were played in the southeast corner of the stadium.
FOUR HOLDENVILLE SENIORS WERE SELECTED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE NATIVE AMERICAN ALL-STATE FOOTBALL GAME! #56 Zeke De La Rosa,#54, Isaiah Tiger,#9, Cash Carter and #1Izaia King are proudly holding their winning medals!

There’s a horseshoe hanging over the entrance of Wolverine Stadium and no one seems to know anything about it! No one seems to know how or who put it there or when it was put there! There is speculation that the horseshoe was placed there when the stadium was completed in 1941. Folklore and traditions contribute the hanging of a horseshoe over the threshold of a building will bring “Good Luck” ! The folklore can be traced to the Saxons who believed hanging a horseshoe over a threshold would ban witches and demons from entering.
There’s a mystery regarding the horse-shoe that hangs over the threshold of Wolverine Stadium! Who put it there? How long has it been there?

Wolverines Impressive at Camp The Holdenville Wolverine Football fans who traveled to the Atoka summer camp on Tuesday had an opportunity to get a peek at the 2024 Wolverines and, they liked what they saw. The quote from the # OK Preps website summed the Wolverines’ camp performance in this sentence: HIGHLIGHTS: Last Night In Atoka, Holdenville Was The Most Impressive Team On Offense & Defense.

Four Wolverines to play in All-Star Game The Wolverines had a successful boys’ and girls’ basketball season and when that happens the players earn a multitude of honors. Two of the standout players have been named to the Ada Area All Star team! Ryleigh Tiger and Madi Bell Mc-Farland have been awarded the honor of not only being named as all-stars, but they’ve been asked to play in the prestigious Ada Area All-Star Game.That game will be played at Ada High School this Friday night, May 25, at 6P.M.

Four members of the 2024 senior class have earned the right to be added to the Holdenville High School Athletic Hall of Fame ( HOF ). All four athletes have met the criteria that has been established by the school that sets the guidelines for the honor of being added to this elite group of athletes. Now, these four can attest that they have earned the honor of being the best of the best that have ever put on an athletic uniform of a Holdenville Wolverine.
