Wolverines Awarded All-State Honors A total of six Holdenville athletes have been awarded Native American All-State honors. Ryleigh Tiger and Madalynn (Madi) McFarland have been selected as Native American All-State fast pitch players and Izaia King, Cash Carter, Zeke De la Rosa and Isaiah Tiger were selected as All-Sate football players.

Wolverine track coach, Darin Johnson, posed a good question when he asked, “How many times have you seen a track meet postponed?” That’s a good question because it’s certainly rare when track meets are moved to a different date because of the weather! This weekend was one of those rare occasions. The Wolverines were scheduled to compete at the regional track meet on Saturday but fearing a severe tornado out break the OSSAA moved all the regional meets to Monday.
This group of athletes paused to pray before their race! The group was competing at the John Jacob’s Invitational at the University of Oklahoma.

Wolverines Excel on Senior night Monday night was senior night for both the baseball team and the softball team. The Wolverine baseball squad whipped the Wewoka Tigers and the softball team defeated a highly ranked Stonewall club.Clinton Lavalley set the tone for the evening with a stellar senior night performance on the mound. The senior hurler struck out 10 batters on his way to a no-hit shut out win. Cylee Null finished her final home game as a Wolverine with a home run blast over the left field wall to lead her team to a 8-4 senior night win over a high ranked Stonewall ball club.
Kendall Mask is the Holdenville News Scholar Athlete of the week. Kendall is a multi-sport athlete at Holdenville High and an honor student.

Court Ruling May Change Wolverine Schedule A group of Oklahoma private schools filed a lawsuit against the Oklahoma Secondary Schools Activity Association regarding play-off classifications and a district judge has ruled in favor of the private schools. The rule in question dealt with the way private schools are classified.

Wolverine Track Teams Shine at Okemah The Holdenville Boy’s and Girls Track teams earned a multitude of medals at The Okemah Invitational Track Meet. The girls managed to score 77.50 points and finished 4th in the team standings.
ARE THE HOLDENVILLE HIGH SCHOOL 4X400 RELAY TEAM MEMBERS HINTING THAT IT’S TIME TO EAT? The girls are trying to munch on their hard earned medals and they did accumulate several! The relay team members are Destiny Jennings, Dixie Gamble, Ryleigh Tiger and Chloe Tiger!

Wolverines shine in weekly play The Holdenville High School track team traveled to Henryetta on Friday and several athletes brought home medals. Daisy Wood, Destiny Jennings, Myah Olden , Blakeli Whiteman, Princess O’ Neil and Chloe Hill won medals.
The Holdenville Wolverine track team will completely fill a bus! The Wolverines traveled to Henryetta last week for their first meet of the season. Several Wolverines won medals and they were proudly displaying the hardware they earned in the picture.

Four Wolverines were awarded for their outstanding play during the 2023-24 basketball season. Kase Sipes, Wyatt Seeley, Mike Piza and Izaia King all earned 66 All Conference Honors.
