Come play in the Watercolor with us! HSPS presents Dwayne Taylor as instructor for a day class on March 13, 14, 15 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with a light lunch for all attendees. Dwayne has juried into several art shows and opened Moon River Studio Art Gallery and Custom Picture Framing in Yukon, Oklahoma after leaving public education where he was an art teacher for many years.

The Holdenville Lions Club began February with Mike Lindley as our guest speaker. He is the WED – Workforce and Economic Development Director at Wes Watkins Tech Center in Wetumka. He informed the Lions members about some of the training that Wes Watkins has available to get the student into a good paying job when they finish the training. Some of those include truck driving, bus driver, man-lift and fork-lift. Also office skills such as excel and quick books, and child development classes are available. He stated that training can be tailored to the needs of a business or set up when there is demand for the course. During the business portion of the meeting the Treasurer, Lion Steve Enos, reported that the Regular and Service accounts are both in very good shape for the rest of this year.
