Principles are guidelines that can help us determine the best way to think and act in both our personal and professional lives. They should instruct us but not control us. We should be dedicated to the ideals attached to a principle, not the words that describe it. Principles are never accurate all the time, including the one I just stated. Absolutes should always be avoided, including my statement about absolutes.

EDMOND, OKLA. (Feb. 20, 2024) – The Oklahoma Association of Career and Technology Education (OkACTE) and Oklahoma Association of Technology Centers (OATC) recently hosted the Partners In Progress awards banquet and recognized some of Oklahoma CareerTech’s most valued industry partners that contribute to the betterment of technology centers across Oklahoma. Wes Watkins Technology Center was proud to recognize Lumatech for their dedication to the CareerTech system.

Holdenville General Hospital (HGH) CEO Steve Stewart delivered a detailed report during a recent meeting, covering various aspects of the hospital’s operations, financials, and ongoing initiatives. Stewart began by highlighting HGH’s financial performance, noting that the hospital achieved a small profit in February.

1952 Holdenville High School graduate, Gene Sims, was recently awarded the Quilt of Valor for his service and sacrifice to our country. Gene is an Army veteran that joined the service in 1956 before being deployed to Korea in 1958.

Landen Yates will be participating with US Senator Markwayne Mullin - Caleb Cochran District Director Lainee Yates will be participating with US Senator Markwayne Mullin Josh Owen Oklahoma State Deputy Director. Legislative / Celebrity Showmanship is one of the most important and enjoyable shows of the year during OYE. Each year, more than 100 Oklahoma legislators and celebrities attend the showmanship contest where they are paired with exhibitors to compete for top showman. This is an opportunity for Oklahoma Legislators and Celebrities to meet with the future leaders of the agriculture industry. Landen and Lainee Yates have the opportunity to become the teacher, of something they are very passionate about, to their Oklahoma leaders and share an amazing experience.
