Holdenville Girls defeat Wewoka 62-55 in overtime. The Holdenville girls’ basketball team played their worst half of basketball at Wewoka and then followed it with their best half of basketball and defeated the Tigers 57-51 in overtime.
Holdenville’s Kase Sipes takes aim before sinking a three point shot at Wewoka. The Wolverines dominated the Tigers in a 92-32 win over Wewoka.

Wolverine Basketball Teams Win Trophies The Holdenville Wolverine Boys’ and Girls’ Basketball teams continue to improve as the season progresses! The girls won three games this past week with victories over class 4A McLoud, Coalgate and Tushka! The girls lone loss was to Lone Grove in the semifinals of the Antlers Tournament. The boys began the week with a disapointing loss to McLoud on Tuesday but the Wolverines rallied the troops and whipped Antlers in the first round of the Antlers Tournament.
Kase Sipes earned All-Tournament honors at the Antlers’ Tournament. Kase is on of the male Wolverines of the Week

It was a good week for the Wolverine girls basketball team! The ladies demolished Seminole 70-27 on Tuesday and thumped Atoka 52-42 on Friday. Blakeli Whiteman was the top Wolverine scorer in the Seminole game with 21 points and Cylee Null led the team in scoring at Atoka with 14.
Izaia King is the Holdenville Daily News Wolverine of the Week. King led the Wolverines in scoring at Seminole.
