Wolverine 4 X 100 relay clocks 43.5. The Holdenville Wolverine 4 x 100 relay team clocked the second fastest time of the 2023 spring track season on Friday.
Holdenville first baseman, Clinton Roland, scoops up a low throw in Holdenville’s game with McLoud. Holdenville is scheduled to go to Lexington Monday, host Lexington on Tuesday, travel to Seminole on Thursday, travel to Okemah on Friday and travel to Heritage Hall on Saturday.

Wolverine bats come to life The Holdenville Wolverine baseball team put a solid week together and defeated some of the heavy weights in class 3A. The Wolverines have been struggling all season but Holdenville’s bats came to life on Tuesday when they swept Little Axe in a double header 5-4 and 12-0.
The Holdenville High School boys’ and girls’ basketball teams earned academic achievement awards from the OSSAA. The girls’ had a combined grade point average of 3.72 and the boys had a combined grade point average of 3.52!

Holdenville Softball wins two…. The old saying “ win some lose some some get rained out” almost applied to the Wolverine softball team this past week.

The 66 Conference has released the names of the athletes that have earned academic all-conference honors and 5 Holdenville Wolverines made that prestigious list. Gage Smith earned academic all-conference in football; Wyatt Seely earned academic all-conference in cross country; Madi McFarland earned academic all-conference in both basketball and fast pitch softball; Cylee Null earned academic all-conference honors in basketball; And, Kailyn Johnson earned academic all-conference in cross country.
Eddie Jennings won the long jump and placed 6th in the 100 meter dash at the track meet in Stroud. Eddie Jennings is the Holdenville News Wolverine of the Week.

The Holdenville boys’ and girls basketball teams both had successful seasons! Honors coincide with success! On the boys’ side three Wolverines earned all-conference honors! Four Wolverines earned honors on the girls’ side! Braden Mclean and Izaia King earned all-conference honors and Kase Sipes earned honorable mention for the boys. Ryleigh Hill, Madi McFarland and Myah Olden earned all-conference honors and Cylee Null earned honorable mention for the girls.

Powerlifters shine Holdenville High School was one of the dominate competitors in the beginning days of Oklahoma High School Powerlifting. Holdenville legendary coach, Butch Rawls and a few other football coaches around the state thought it might be good if the football players who participated in off-season weight lifting competed in some sort of weight lifting competition.
Three Holdenville powerlifters placed high enough in the regional meet to qualify to compete at the state meet. Kylie Rae Leftwich, Treslie Denny and Justice Morris qualified for state.
