Services Held for Tenetke “Son” Deer

Body
Tenetke ‘Son’ Deer passed away at his home in Muskogee, Oklahoma on Wednesday evening, August 31, 2022, at the age of 41 years. Tenetke was born on December 16, 1980, in Washington DC, to Lisa Deer. He was raised in Wetumka, Oklahoma by his great-grandma, Melissa Deer, until he reached high school, and he always considered himself a proud Wetumka Chieftain. As a young man, he attended Salt Creek Methodist Church. He earned his GED and attended Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He returned to Oklahoma and made his home in Muskogee, where he was employed in the casinos and driving personnel transport. He loved watching football, especially Nebraska football, and he was big into science fiction and loved the sci-fi channel. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his nephews and spoiling them all as much as he could.
