Linda Arlene Isaac passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at St Vincent Hot Springs Hospital in Arkansas as the age of 79. Linda was born February 26, 1943 in Bakersfield, California to John Ivan Walls and Virginia Marie (Woodard) Walls.

Susie Louise Glass passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, in Holdenville, Oklahoma. She was 84 years old. She was born in Stuart, Oklahoma to Carl “Buster” Haskell Hester and Illa (Tollett) Hester.

Robert Marshal “Marty” Kalinich passed away in Oklahoma City on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at the age of 63 years. Marty was born on February 15, 1959 in Chicago, Illinois to the late George Robert “Rock” Kalinich and Johnnie Mae (Bruner) Kalinich. He attended Holdenville public elementary schools and then went to Eufaula Boarding school and Sequoyah High School. Marty enjoyed all kinds of sports, but he loved OU football and OU basketball best. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He had a special and unique relationship with all of his siblings and all of his nieces and nephews. Marty was truly loved by all and he will truly be missed. He is preceded in death by his parents, George ‘Rock’ & Johnnie Mae Kalinich, and an infant brother.

Leon McPerryman passed away at his home in Spaulding on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at the age of 71 years. Leon was the son of Lewis & Sarah (Manley) McPerryman, born on January 13, 1951 at Claremore, Oklahoma.

Billy James Clapp passed away Monday, May 16th, 2022 at his home in Holdenville, Oklahoma at the age of 75. Billy was born November 5th, 1946 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Bill Clapp and Betty Louis (Eidson) Clapp.

Tammy Dianne Fiero was born on May 24, 1966, in Wetumka, Oklahoma. At the age of 55 she passed away on May 14, 2022, in Johnson City, Texas where she and her husband Chuck Fiero raised their family. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Koby; parents, Arty and Marguerite Hearod; grandparents, Joe and Stella Hearod and Opal and Oscar Hicks; mother and father-in-law, Austin and Myrtle Fiero; and brother-in-law, Donald Fiero.

Christina Janice Screechowl passed away in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Monday, May 9, 2022, at the age of 77 years. Christina was the daughter of Kenneth and Josephine (Cook) Factor, born on July 20, 1944.

Joyce Wylene Dempsey died on Thursday, May 5, 2022. She was born August 29, 1932 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to B.R. and Thelma (Bennett) Gordon. She married Jack Dempsey on December 21, 1957 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. They had three children: Steve, Rhonda, and Mark.

Long time Hughes County resident, Edmon Earl Thetford, passed from this life on May 9, 2022. He was a resident of the Oklahoma Veterans Center in Norman where he had resided since December of 2016.

Tyler Grady Nix age 38, passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 in Shawnee, OK. He was born on December 26, 1983 in Ada, OK to Don Nix and Cindy Nix-Hall. He married Jasmine Nix on October 4, 2014 in Seminole, OK. Tyler graduated from Wewoka. He was of the Baptist faith. Tyler worked as a welder for OEM oilfield parts in Shawnee, OK. He enjoyed grilling, football, coaching his kids, going to the lake, spending time with friends and family, and drinking cold beer. He is survived by his father Don Nix of New Lima, OK, mother Cindy Nix- Hall and Ben Bachus of Wetumka, OK, wife Jasmine Nix of Shawnee, OK, children, Cameron Pewewardy of Shawnee, OK, Landon Nix of Tecumseh, OK, Tytan Nix, of Shawnee, OK, siblings, Candi Polkinghorn of Wewoka, OK, Patrick Janes, of Holdenville, OK, Rachel Dennis of Holdenville, OK, Kristin Hall of OKC, OK, Candace Hall of OKC, OK, Crystal Peters, of Holdenville, OK, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Funeral service were held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at Stout-Phillips Chapel in Wewoka, Oklahoma with Pastor Dane Robinson and Tre- Bob Buck officiating. Interment to follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka, Oklahoma. Pallbearers: Josh Carr, Stacey Wilson, David Baldwin, Cy Smith, Austin Smith, Chance Smith. Honorary Pallbearers: Cameron Pewewardy, Brandon Peters, Roland Garfield, Beau Sneed, Johnathan Baxley, Dustin Hair, Sean Ricker, Davis “Styx” Jones.
