Michael Ray Scott

Michael Ray Scott passed away in Holdenville, Oklahoma on Friday, October 21, 2022, at the age of 47 years.

Michael was the son of Wallace King Scott Sr. and Margie Mae (Sewell) Scott, born on February 11, 1975. He was brought up in Holdenville and attended Holdenville schools. Following high school he worked as a pipeline laborer for six years but became disabled and was forced to give up his career at an early age. He was a devoted and enthusiastic fan of OSU Cowboy football and loved hanging out in the casinos. He was a member of Wetumka Indian Baptist Church, and of Alabama Quassarte Ceremonial Grounds.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Wallace and Margie Scott, sister Della Scott, and nephew Jeffery Harjo.

He is survived by three daughters, Tala Scott and Sarah Scott, both of Tecumseh, and Lavonda Scott of Seminole; two granddaughters, Amelia and Eva Jo, and one grandson, Culv; two brothers, Dewayne Scott (Serena) of Seminole, and Wallace Scott Jr. of Holdenville; one sister, Justina Scott of Holdenville; four aunts, Debra Sewell and Wanda Hulbutta, both of Wewoka, Josephine Yargee and Rovena Yargee, both of Holdenville; three uncles: Thomas Sewell of Dallas Texas, Newman Sewell of Tahlequah, and Jackie Yargee of Okemah; one great-uncle, Turner Scott of Wetumka; numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Funeral services were Tuesday, October 25, 2022, 1:00pm at Oak Hill Cemetery Chapel in Yeager, with interment following. Rev. Frank Moppin was the officiating minister.

Wake service was held on Monday, October 24, 7:00pm at Fisher Funeral Home-Lillye Chapel.
