JAGGERS ARRESTED AFTER FOOT CHASE WITH HOLDENVILLE POLICE

HOLDENVILLE — An early morning burglary last month led to a foot pursuit, the recovery of multiple stolen firearms, and the identification of a suspect through security footage, according to a probable cause affidavit filed at the Hughes County Courthouse.

In an end of the season awards dinner, Parker Robinson, Holdenville, was named Player of the Year in “A League of Their Own.” League organizers say she “showed all the core values you hope to see in any individual in any circumstance, on and off the field. She played to the best of her ability, while showing superior sportsmanship and a great attitude, inspiring her “buddies” each and every game.” Also pictured is Arpoika Daniels.

45th DIVISION ENCAMPMENT, FT. SILL, AUGUST 1948...The Korean War started 75 years ago this month. It is often referred to as “The Forgotten War”. The war was fought from 1950-1953 and over two and a half million people were killed. Many Hughes Countians fought in this war including many in the picture above.
