Oklahoma shoppers willbeoutthisweekend to take advantage of the annual Tax Free Weekend, beginning Friday, August 1, and ending Sunday, August 3, 2025. Oklahoma’s sales tax holiday will exempt clothing under $100 from sales tax.

The U.S. Supreme Court’s 2020 ruling in Mc-Girt v. Oklahoma, which held that the pre-statehood reservation of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation was never formally disestablished for purposes of federal criminal law, created vast uncertainty regarding regulatory issues across most of eastern Oklahoma.

Jaymie Larney is the granddaughter of the late Virginia Larney and the great-niece of Geneva Larney, both of whom were part of the Moss High School team that won a fastpitch state championship in 1959. Jaymie’s parents are Jim (Seminole Nation of Oklahoma) and Landrea Larney (Navajo Nation).
