The Holdenville City Council is scheduled to meet for a regularly scheduled meeting on March 7, 2023, at the Holdenville Civic Center. The meeting will begin at 6:30 P.M.

In a letter to the City Council, Fire Chief Shelton Foster announced his retirement from the Holdenville Fire Department after 25 years with the department. The letter reads: 2-21-2023 “Hello, It has been an honor and privilege to serve this community I call home.

We had a good visit with our Vice-Mayor Lynn Lantz this weekend. He is one of the finest gentlemen I have ever known, and I shudder to think where this city would be without his expertise, experience and leadership. His business background is one of the major reasons our city has not only survived but is moving forward. We need Lynn to continue on the council but understand why he would not want to put up with the handful of haters and the Facebook fools.
