Large Crowd Attends Veterans Creek Dedication

The Atwood Alumni Reunion will be held June 27th in the Lowell Wilkerson Community Center. The building will open at noon and a potluck dinner will be enjoyed at 5:00 followed by a short business meeting.

Don’t forget the annual Gerty Day reunion on Saturday, June 27 starting at 9 a.m. witha potluck lunch at 12:00 p.m. It will be held in the Gerty Community Center and all former students are encouraged to attend.

Beyond prayer, a great birthday gesture for America would be to invite neighbors, friends, and others - even strangers - to attend worship services. So many today feel isolated and lonely, and these invitations are bridges that bring people together under the love of God and the message of the gospel.

From America’s earliest days, discerning citizens knew this nation had a unique purpose under God. Throughout history, there have been seasons when that spiritual foundation was renewed and strengthened - times referred to as the Great Awakenings. These were not merely emotional movements, but profound touches from God in the hearts of individuals that spilled over into families, communities, and institutions. Lives were changed, priorities were reordered, and a renewed sense of moral clarity took root.

Some home gardeners enjoy a bountiful vegetable harvest, while others see plenty of flowers but little to no fruit. If your fruiting vegetables aren’t producing as expected, several common factors could be at play: Excess Nitrogen Early On: Applying too much nitrogen fertilizer at the beginning of the season encourages leafy growth rather than fruit development. This delays flowering and reduces the plant’s energy for setting fruit.
