NEW PIPELINE TRANSFERS 43 MILLION GALLONS IN FIRST USE

A water transfer pipeline connecting the Old Lake to the existing New Lake moved approximately 43 million gallons during its first use, adding an estimated 50 days of water supply, according to project notes.

Completed in early July, the pipeline has been used only once because of a lack of significant rainfall. That initial pumping period lasted a little more than two weeks.
