Holdenville Softball Coach recaps season. The Holdenville fast pitch softball squad had quite a season! The team finished strong and although Coach Rick Scott’s team fell just short of making it to the state tournament, they did manage to achieve the majority of their goals.
Holdenville guard, Blakeli Whiteman, scores two points for the Wolverines in the girl’s63-27 victory over Meeker. Holdenville will travel to Allen to play the Mustangs on January 4.

Jekyll and Hyde week for Wolverines The Holdenville boys played their best basketball of the year on Tuesday and their worst of the year on Friday. The Holdenville girls were just the opposite.

Holdenville girls earn trophy The Holdenville High School girl’s basketball team won three games this past week and lost one. Holdenville began the week with a 58-34 victory over McLoud.

Lady Wolverines win one lose one The Lady Wolverine basketball team opened the week with a hard fought 44-51 loss to Seminole and finished the week with a 48-22 whipping of Atoka. The Wolverines fell behind Seminole early and trailed 18-24 at the half.
The Holdenville Middle School 7th grade basketball team won the second place trophy in the Prague Tournament! Coach Ryan Turner’s squad defeated Prague and Meeker before losing to South Rock Creek in the finals. Holdenville hosts Seminole and Atoka The Holdenville Wolverine varsity basketball teams will begin the post Thanksgiving season by hosting the Seminole Chieftains on Tuesday night and Atoka on Friday Night. The Wolverine girls are 1-0 on the year with a 72-58 victory over Lexington.

Stuart JH wins Stonewall Tournament

Stuart Coach, Wes Lindley, was extremely proud of the way his team played in the Stonewall Tournament and he should be! The young Hornets dominated the competition and won every game by at least 15 points! Stuart defeated Stonewall in the quarterfinals by a score of 35-20. Nolan Stewart had the hot hand in the 15 point win and led the attack with 17 points. Zackery Luker was the top scorer in the semi-final match-up with Stratford. Luker contributed 15 points in the lop-sided 48- 11 victory and Nolan Lindley added 11.

Holdenville releases basketball schedule

The Holdenville Wolverines will begin the basketball season with one game prior to Thanksgiving Break before the schedule gets intense afterwards with at least two games per week until Christmas. Holdenville will compete in the Latta Tournament, the Konawa Tournament and the 66 Conference Tournament.
