Carl Pinion telling us how much he enjoyed the Rhea Horn story. Our family also really enjoyed it along with our readers. She was quite a lady and the story brought back a lot of Re memories . . . Gene Storey came by looking for the Edition that has the Moss Homecoming Pictures and we had a good visit. When I was a kid I spent a lot of pennies in his dad’s grocery store and also sold Mr. Sims a lot of pop bottles for 2 cents each . . . We found a picture from 1960 of Jane Leader taken at Girls’ State. I wonder if anyone knows where Jane is. If so, please mentalet us know.

Spoke with Susie Glass on the phone this week. She seems to be doing very well and looks forward to when she can return to church. Her and her son Randi are two of our most faithful members at the church of the Nazarene. We miss seeing their faces on Sunday morning and look forward to the day that they can be with us again.

Some exhilarating fresh air, and much-needed exercise, plus the chance to greet any friends who had the same idea of enjoying the unusual day – the idea was irresistible.

I had a great visit with my cousin Patsy Bean Elliott this past week. She is the daughter of the late Dow and Inez Abernathy Bean, longtime Holdenville residents. Patsy lives in New Mexico and is doing great. She is always so much fun to visit with….Our good friend Lorelei Schroyer shared the following with us and we thought our readers would enjoy and appreciate it……

GROWING UP WITH OKLAHOMA 1905-1984 (Part 2) by Rhea Cahill Horn In the Spring of 1908 a salesman came through the community selling options on lots in the Rio Grand Valley. He painted a beautiful picture of the Valley, and four families in the area bought options, loaded possessions in a covered wagon, and took off for South Texas.

Then I write down a dozen or so goals for the following twelve months. At year’s end I generally give myself a grade on each of the past year’s goals. Every year I fail to pass all my subjects. Maybe I need fewer, less ambitious goals. But some of us need to set goals and stick with them. Consider this:
