Caleb James Duffey passed away in Oklahoma City on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at the age of 27 years.
Caleb was born on September 26, 1995, in Joplin, Missouri to James Keith Duffey & Kim Rae (Mitchell) Duffey. The family moved to Holdenville, Oklahoma, where Caleb was brought up and attended schools, graduating Holdenville High School with the Class of 2013. He was a master at video games. He enjoyed sports, especially football, and was a devoted fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and OU Sooners. He loved hanging out with friends and family, and he lived for time spent with his daughter Macy, whom he adored. Despite contending with debilitating health issues for most of his life, Caleb was a fighter and he lived life to the fullest.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Rex Mitchell, paternal grandmother Debra Grizzle, paternal grandfather Tommy Grizzle Sr, and his brother, Tyler Duffey.
He is survived by his daughter, Macy Raeann Duffey, and his mother, Kim Rae Grizzle, both of the home; his father, Jason Grizzle, of Holdenville; siblings: Amber Worsham (Daniel), Donald Duffey, Dakota Duffey, all of Holdenville, Makayla Duffey of Seminole, Bianca Grizzle, Zachary Grizzle (Olivia), both of Holdenville, Beau Grizzle, Isabela Grizzle, both of the home, and Deante Grizzle of Seminole; maternal grandmother Betty Mitchell of Carthage MO; numerous aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Graveside services wereheld and Caleb will be laid to rest at Yeager Cemetery on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at 4:30pm. Rev. Dane Robinson officiated as minister. Pallbearers are Zachary Grizzle, Donald Duffey, Dakota Duffey, Jerry Chapman, Chade Parker, Colby Ballard, Bryce Bishop, and Beau Grizzle.
Following the graveside service there was a Celebration of Life held at 6:30pm at Living Waters Church in Wetumka.
