Reba Mae Pettit passed away Thursday, August 16, 2024 at her home in Holdenville, Oklahoma at the age of 94.

Reba was born March 27, 1930 in Atwood, Oklahoma to George Danny Black and Minnie “Dot” Grace (Moore) Black. She graduated from Atwood High School.

Reba married Robert Autrey Pettit Jr. on August 6, 1949 at Atwood Nazarene Church. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Holdenville. Reba worked in the banking industry and received numerous certificates and awards during her banking career. She was the Sr Vice President for First United Bank. Reba was recognized as Holdenville Business Woman of the Year in 1985. She also did bookkeeping work for Owen Rives Oil & Gas. Reba enjoyed water skiing, gardening, and working. She loved spending time with her family and friends.

Reba is preceded in death by her parents; and siblings Leslie Black, Haskell Black, Dallas Black, Dewayne Black, A.G. Black, and Dewell Black. She is survived by her son Lynn Pettit and fiancee Lisa Woody of Holdenville; grandchildren John Hudson and wife Alex, and Jamie Atwood and husband Dakota; greatgrandchildren Marshal Tucker Hudson, and Sutton Atwood. Reba is survived by numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral service was at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 20th, at the First Baptist Church of Holdenville with Pastor Bella Strickland officiating. Interment followed at Holdenville Cemetery.

Pallbearers were John Hudson, Pete Huff, Bryan Coleman, Jay Thompson, Vernon Thompson and Zac Jennings. Honorary pallbearers were her nieces and nephews.

Services were under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home.
