Our sympathy is extended to the family of Marie Grimes

Frances Marie Grimes passed away Wednesday, September 13th, 2023 at Heritage Village Nursing Center in Holdenville, Oklahoma at the age of 83.

Marie was born September 22, 1939 in Spaulding, Oklahoma to Garfield Eugene Babb and Naomi Ruth (Venable) Robins. She attended Spaulding Public School. Marie married Charlie Grimes on February 27, 1970 in Holdenville, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker. Marie was a member of the Texas Banner Church of God in Wetumka. Marie loved cooking, baking, her church, gardening, canning and caregiving. She loved her grandson!

Marie is preceded in death by her parents, husband Charlie Grimes, siblings; Bob Babb, Fern Babb, Raymond Babb, Homer Babb, Billy Jo Babb, Wayne Babb and Jack Babb. She is survived by her daughters; Rita Humphries of Seattle, Paula Grimes-Heath of Bethany, grandson Brandon Heath of Bethany, siblings; Johnny Babb and wife Pam of Holdenville and Jane Myers of Holdenville. Marie is survived by numerous other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Bo Babb, Johnny Babb, Jay Jeffrey, Jason Jeffrey, Brandon Heath and Robert Babb. Viewing was 3:00pm-7:00pm, Friday, September 15, 2023 at Hudson Phillips Funeral Home.

Funeral service was 2:00 P.M., Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Texas Banner Church of God in Wetumka, Oklahoma with Brother Joe Lunsford officiating.

Interment followed at Holdenville Cemetery.

Services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home, Holdenville, Oklahoma.
