The January 7, 2025 meeting the Holdenville Lions Club was called to order by President Lion Lori Woods. After the flag salute and invocation, the minutes were read and approved and the Treasurer’s report was also read and approved. Old Business included discussion about the upcoming Potato Bar fundraiser. The ads for the fundraiser need to be gathered by the next meeting of the Lions Club. New Business included discussion of the meeting location and the new recognition patch for the banner. Tail Twister, Lion Leon Barrett performed his duties and the meeting was dismissed.

Nina Stewart passed away Wednesday, January 22nd, 2025 at Holdenville General Hospital in Holdenville, Oklahoma at the age of 87. Nina was born July 17th, 1937 in Stoney Point, Oklahoma to John Franklin Sneed and Ruby Virginia (Clemens) Sneed.

Lloyd Rio (Pete) Petete of Moore, Oklahoma passed away on January 24th, 2025, in Oklahoma City. Funeral Services will be held 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at Glorieta Baptist Church with Pastor Mark Custalow officiating.
