Dora Bell Addington passed away Saturday, July 1st, 2023 at Heritage Village Nursing Center in Holdenville, Oklahoma at the age 97.

Dora was born September 12, 1925 in Lamar, Oklahoma to Coffee James Camp and Tennessee (Tinnie) Wilma (Barnes) Camp. She attended Lamar Public School. Dora married Gene Addington May 10, 1976. Dora was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Holdenville. She loved going to church and reading the Bible. She worked on a battleship in California as a welder’s helper and a cutter. Dora worked as a nurse’s aid at Wetumka, Holdenville, Shawnee and Norman Hospitals. Dora was a very loving mother and grandmother. She loved being with her family telling stories of when she was growing up.

Dora is preceded in death by her parents, daughter Estine Sneed, 9 brothers & sisters, first husband Bill Sneed and second husband Gene Addington. She is survived by children; daughter Maxine Welch and husband Roy, son Barney Sneed and wife Jo, grandchildren; Susan Nichels and husband John, John Welch, Kathy Norris, Mark Sneed and wife Cammie, Brock Sneed and wife Tammy, 11 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren. Dora is survived by numerous other relatives and friends.

Graveside service will be 10:00am, Friday, July 7, 2023 at Shawnee Fairview Cemetery in Shawnee, Oklahoma with Butch Barksdale officiating. Interment will follow at Shawnee Fairview Cemetery.

Services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home in Holdenville, Oklahoma.
