Linda Diane Maynard

Linda Diane Maynard Bridges passed away in Ada, Oklahoma on Friday, July 26, 2024, at the age of 71 years.

Linda was the daughter of Oswald Everett Stephens & Betty(Wade)Stephens,bornonJune21,1953,inColorado. She was brought up in Holdenville and the Hughes County area of Oklahoma, and attended Holdenville and Moss schools. She was married to Stephen Bridges on February 8, 2006, in Wewoka, Oklahoma.

Linda worked at various jobs, including carhop for Sonic and Stars drive-ins, and as a CNA for various nursing homes, mostly Boyce Manor Nursing Home in Holdenville. She loved rodeo and was a skilled barrel racer. Some of her favorite things were fishing, taking care of her chickens, and watching westerns and cooking shows on TV.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Oswald & Betty Stephens, and one brother, Carl Stephens.

She is survived by her husband of eighteen years, Stephen Bridges, of the home; three sons, Mark Maynard (Cassity) of West Columbia, Texas, Everett Maynard of Holdenville, and Bobby Maynard (Rose) of Sweeny, Texas; stepson Johnny Bridges (Jason From) of Shawnee; two stepdaughters, Stephanie Cornell (Dennis) and Jennifer Harris (Patrick), all of Yeager; six grandchildren, Carlee Cross, Rheagan Maynard, Rylynn Maynard, Trisitie Sanford, Ashley Whitaker, and Taylor McDonald; six stepgrandchildren, Chyenne Bridges, Jaden Bridges, Leland Cornell, Jasper Harris, Mason Collins, and Brianna Threckeld (Nick); eight great-grandchildren, Easton, Addyson, Jasmine, Briar, Eden, Luca, Hendrix, and one on the way, Stormi; two step-great-grandchildren, Mackenzie and Nathaniel; one sister, Charlotte Venable, and one brother, David Stephens, both of Holdenville; brother-in-law Jackie Venable of Holdenville; nieces and nephews, other family members, and many friends.

Graveside services were held at 1:30 pm on Monday, July 29th, and Linda was laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery in Yeager, with Rev. Jimmy Jett Jr. officiating. Pallbearers were Johnny Bridges, Jaden Cornell, Toby Brewer, Roger Pickett, Aaron Morgan, and Daniel Venable. Honorary pallbearers were Jackie Venable, Bub Walton, Mike Hamilton, Buster Venable, David Morgan, and Johnny Venable. http://www.fisherfh.net
