Edwin Melford ‘Eddie’ Jackson passed away in Oklahoma City on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at the age of 52 years.

Eddie was the son of Kenneth Jackson and Shirley Benham, born on September 21, 1970, in Denver, Colorado. He was brought up in Holdenville, Oklahoma, where he attended schools, graduating Holdenville High School with the Class of 1989. He attended Seminole Junior College. He worked for many years in residential construction, and lived for the past twelve years in Oklahoma City.

Eddie was baptized when he was young at Cedar River Baptist Church and was a member there until he transferred membership to Capitol Heights Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting - especially deer, and football - especially OU. He enjoyed nothing more than humor, he loved to laugh and loved even more making other people laugh. He was loved and will be missed.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Benham; two brothers, Kenneth Jackson Jr and Timothy Jackson.

He is survived by one son, Edwin Jackson Jr of Wetumka; his father, Kenneth Jackson of Oklahoma City; one brother, Jeffrey Jon Jackson of Holdenville; sister-in-law Jackie Jackson of Porter; four nieces: Kenna Jackson, Samantha Riley, Rachel Jackson, and Makenzie Garcia; four nephews: Kent Jackson, Timothy Jackson Jr, Jeffrey Jackson Jr, and Nicholas Garcia; numerous great nieces and nephews, including Adelynn Riley and Landon O’Neal; other family members and many friends.

Graveside service was held on Tuesday, November 15th, 2:00 pm at Cedar River Baptist Church Cemetery in Holdenville.

Wake service was Monday, November 14th, 6:30 pm at Fisher Funeral Home-Lillye Chapel.
