Darren Wen Lemmones
Darren Wen Lemmones, 52 passed on February 8, 2024 at Comanche County Hospital in Lawton, Oklahoma.
Darren was born to William and Glenda Lemmones on August 23, 1971 in Guymon, Oklahoma.
He was the youngest of five children.
Darren was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, uncle and grandpa. He attend school at Texhoma, Oklahoma.
Later, he finished his education at Liberal Vo-Tech in Liberal, Kansas. While living in Texhoma, Darren was a volunteer fire fighter.
After the loss of his mother, Darren resided in the home of his sister Darla (late brother- in-law David) home for many years. Darren had a heart of gold. He would help anyone if they needed it. Darren was an excellent mechanic, craftsman and taxidermist. He enjoyed being outdoors and spending time with his family and friends. He took pride in doing the things he loved to do. He loved his nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and all his family. One of the highlights of Darren’s life was the time he spent on the reservation in New Mexico as well as Arizona with his father. He loved being there and talked about it often. “Your life was a blessing, your memory, a treasure. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.”
Darren was preceded in death by his parents, William O. Lemmones and Glenda (Parker) Lemmones, maternal and paternal grandparents. He is survived by his wife, Michelle Lemmones of the home, 2 sons; Daryl (Brooke) Schmidt of Muskogee, OK, Levi (Shannon) Lemmones of Lawton, OK, the mother of his children, Jeri Lemmones of Muskogee, OK, granddaughter Allison Schmidt, brother Delvin (Mary) Lemmones of Elk City, OK, sisters; Darla (the late David) Newbold of Madill, OK, Diana (Mike) Phillips of Pampa, TX, Darlene Lemmones of Texhoma, OK, step-children; Eric (Brittany) Davis of Lawton, OK, Heather (Matt) Pietan of Waterloo, IA, step-grandchildren; Anthony, A.J., Abi, Emmy, little Matt and Aoewynn.
Memorial service will be 2:00pm, Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Legacy Church located at 310 N. Echo, Holdenville, Oklahoma. Relatives and friends are welcome to the reception at Legacy Corner at 1:00pm.
