Loretta Jewel Brittain passed away in Alma, Arkansas on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at the age of 87 years.

Loretta is the daughter of W. C. & Minnie (Grissom) Norris, born on August 13, 1937, in Holdenville, Oklahoma. She was brought up in Wetumka and attended Moss Schools. She married Bobby Brittain in Horntown, Oklahoma on July 15, 1954, and they made their home in Holdenville. Loretta worked at various occupations, including Dairy Queen, M&P Grocery Store, First National Bank in Holdenville and Security State Bank in Wewoka. Her passion was cooking, quilting, crocheting, and especially loving on her babies.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Bobby Brittain; her parents, W. C. & Minnie Norris; six brothers and one sister.

She is survived by her son, Barney Brittain (Jackie) of Kentucky, and daughter Sherry Brittain House of Arkansas; five grandchildren: Ron Jenrette (Beth), Tonya Coffey (Darren) all of Kentucky, Jeremy House (Rachel), Bobby House, and Matthew House, all of Arkansas; seventeen great-grandchildren: Kylie Morgan

Everyone is invited to Visitation/Viewing at Penn West Baptist Church in Holdenville on Thursday, July 3, 2025, 10:00am to 12:00noon, with interment following at Holdenville Cemetery. Pallbearers are Loretta’s grandsons: Jeremy House, Bobby House, Matthew House, Ronnie Jenrette, Dillion Jenrette, and Lucas House.
