Service held for Michael Scott Johnson
Michael “Scott” Johnson, age 52, resident of Holdenville, Oklahoma, passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at his home.
Scott was born October 16, 1970, in Seminole, Oklahoma to Jimmy and Carol “Brooks” Johnson. He graduated from Maud High School in 1988. He married the love of his life, Amanda Hovinetz-Johnson on February 29, 2020, but fell in love in 2012.
Scott worked for 17 years as a Co/Correctional Counselor at Davis Correctional Facility in Holdenville and for 17 years at Kaboom Fireworks in Maud. Scott was a big prankster and you never knew what he was going to do next. He loved fishing, camping, listening to music, riding his toys at the lake and spending time with his Sparks America family, including his heart and joy Tiffney and Troy Spence.
Scott is survived by his wife Amanda Johnson of the home; two sons James Michael Johnson of Maud, Zachary Johnson and girlfriend Stephanie Polkinghorn of Holdenville; mother, Carol Johnson of Maud; brothers Kenneth Johnson and wife Melissa of Seminole, and Anthony Johnson and wife Jeri of Maud; and four grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jimmy; one brother Danny; grandparents William Lee and Beulah Brooks and Bill and Edna Johnson; six uncles and four aunts.
Celebration of Life was held 2:00 P.M., Sunday, May 7th, at the Holdenville Lake Baptist Pavilion with Rev. James Bailey officiating and Rev. John Bunch assisting.
