Service held for Merle Leon Polson

Merle Leon Polson passed away Tuesday, August 25th, 2020 at Holdenville General Hospital in Holdenville, Oklahoma at the age of 84.

Merle as born December 21st, 1935 in Des Moines, Iowa to Olen Polson and Violet Clemens Polson. Merle graduated from high school. He was a bakery manager. He married Donna Briggs February 22, 1955 in Des Moines, Iowa.

Merle is preceded in death by his parents, wife Donna Mae Polson, daughter Carla and grandson Joshua. He is survived by daughter Diana Lee Laviolette of Oklahoma City, OK, grandchildren; Kristopher Simmons and wife Jamie of Warr Acres, OK, Shawn Evans, Cristi Lnmop, Amanda Evans and great granddaughter Alissa Simmons.

Viewing will be 4:00pm-8:00pm Wednesday August 26, 2020 and all day Thursday August 27, 2020 at Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home, Holdenville, Oklahoma.

Funeral service was held at 2:00pm Friday August 28, 2020 at Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel in Holdenville, Oklahoma.

Pallbearers were Kristopher Simmons, John Laviolette and Riley Sanford.

Interment followed at Holdenville Cemetery.

Services were under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home, Holdenville, Oklahoma.
