Carol Smith Receives Floyd Johnson Award

Holdenville, OK – In a heartfelt ceremony held at Holdenville High School, the esteemed Paraprofessional Carol Smith was honored with the esteemed Floyd Johnson Award, recognizing her outstanding contributions to the special education department. Smith, who has been an integral part of the Holdenville Schools’ special education program since 1999, was celebrated for her unwavering dedication and compassionate service to students with diverse needs.

Blakeli is the daughter of Allison Whiteman and the granddaughter of Carol Whiteman. She is the sister of Jordan, Mya, Shaiann, Daegan, Tiffany, Ashlynn, Dawson, Jordan, Jace, and Tre’son. Blakeli has been a Wolverine for 6 years. She played Basketball for 4 years, winning the Regional Championship 2 years in a row and was a Conference Champion for the 20232024 season. Terra is the daughter of Melissa & Christopher Williams and the granddaughter of Paul Williams. She has two brothers, Isaac and Chris. Terra has been a Holdenville student for 1 0 years and participated in Personal Finance. After graduating, Terra plans to go to college.

James is the son of Nancy & Landon Hall and Eric Westwood. His grandparents are Jannet & Jerry Wellman, Jim & Cathy Westwood, and the late Virginia Hall. James has 4 siblings: Colson, Knowlten, Lizzy, and Grace. In his 9 years as a Holdenville student, he was active in Band for 5 years and went to OSSAA Sweepstakes 2 years in a row. James also participated in Quiz Bowl for 2 years and was a member of the E-Sports team for 1 year. He plans to enroll at ECU for his studies after graduating. The best memories James made were during the Marching Band season.
