Holdenville, Oklahoma - In a daring interception at Davis Correctional Facility (DCF), the Oklahoma Department of Corrections (ODOC) Office of Inspector General (OIG) and the Criminal Interdiction Division (CID) apprehended a visitor attempting to smuggle contraband into the facility.

A man was killed in a shooting in Seminole County over the weekend after he lost his cousin in another shooting just months ago in Oklahoma City, his family said. Officers arrested a 16-year-old boy for the fatal shooting outside the E-Z Mart on South Mekusukey Avenue in Wewoka, which happened around 12 a.m.

The Oklahoma Department of Corrections announced that the Davis Correctional Facility in Holdenville, Okla., will be renamed to honor a fallen correctional officer. Beginning October 1st, the prison will be known as the Allen Gamble Correctional Center.
