Tire Blowout Blamed for Sunday Accident

A Holdenville driver was involved in an injury accident Sunday evening near Okemah on I-40. Misty Gentry, 19, Holdenville, was transported by Creek Nation EMS to Creek Nation Hospital in Okemah, where she was treated and released with multiple injuries.

Lady Wolverines Softball Team - District Champions!

The Holdenville Wolverine Softball team is 2021 District Champions! Coach Sarah Morgan’s squad displayed a huge comeback effort in the district tournament to earn a spot in the regional tournament. Holdenville began the district tournament with a 16-4 thrashing of the Wilburton Diggers but things went south in the second round when the Wolverines dropped a 8-24 contest to Hartshorne.
The Holdenville High School slow pitch softball team won the district tournament with a 15-0 run rule win over Hartshorne! The Wolverines have earned the right to advance to regional tournament!
