The Holdenville Wolverine football squad will make the 6 mile trip west on Friday and open the 2021 season with a classic match up with the Wewoka Tigers. The Wolverine vs. Tiger contest has been going on for decades with very few exceptions. There were years when the outcome of the rivalry game determined district championships. There was a year back in the mid-20th century when Wewoka won the state championship and Holdenville was the Tigers toughest game.

HALO

Body
Terry and Diana Hardwick lost their home, auto and 4-wheeler in a fire on Friday morning. They lost everything. Diana works for me part time and is a retired nurse practitioner. Their son, Jeffrey has second and third degree burns on his legs. The fire started in his room as he was making the bed when the fire went up the wall to the ceiling and set the mattress on fire. They all barely got out before it was completely engulfed in flames. Diana volunteers as a pink lady. Halo and her church makes handmade quilts for nonprofits to raffle off. We are also taking donations for them. They have found a place to stay and trying to get their heads on straight after all this and get some necessities together. Please pray for them.
