City Council Reneges on Verbal Agreement with Chief of Police

The Holdenville City Council held their regularly scheduled meeting last Tuesday night. Most items on the agenda warranted little to no discussion before passing unanimously. Money was approved for the Fire Department to spend from their own budget on materials for Fire Prevention week coming up next week in Holdenville grade and middle schools, reserve police officer Robert Silva, Jr. was hired as a part-time officer, and a special election was set for November 9, 2021, to fill the vacant Ward 3 City Council seat.
