The Holdenville Lions Club concluded our year in May 2023. The April 2023 Steak sandwich fundraiser was successful – we SOLD OUT! Thank you, Holdenville, for supporting Lions Club by coming to the fundraiser. This supports one of our main service projects – Scholarships for HHS seniors. Two members – Pres. Lion Willie Mussler and Sec. Lion Jerrie Lindsey – and their spouses attended the State Lions Convention at St. Crispin’s in April. The International President, Brian Sheehan, gave a very engaging and rousing presentation at the closing dinner at the convention.

Body
MYSTERY! MURDER MYSTERY!! Oh! My! Oh, and it is a luncheon too!! That’s even better! Yes, the Red Hat Ladies were treated by the Young at Heart Ladies to a murder mystery luncheon on May 13th. We were all eating these delicious ham and cheese in a Hawaiian bun, chips and a delicious cake when all of a sudden one of the ladies, Sharron Holman, grabbed her stomach and went running around the table and fell over. Cindy McDaniel jumped down from the table to examine her and said that she thought that Sharon was stabbed! Joyce Brinlee said to leave her alone, that she never liked her. Shirley was so upset as she said that was her sister and that she loved her. Was she dead? I never saw any blood. Cindy said she was stabbed in the stomach.
THE RED HAT AND YOUNG AT HEART GROUPS RECENTLY JOINED FORCES TO SOLVE A MURDER MYSTERY!!! Pictured above are: (front row) Donitta Lawson. JUNE IS LIFE MONTH, NOT PRIDE MONTH

Body
You make known to me the path of life… (Psalm 16:11) For many in America today, the advent of June signals the beginning of what has been labeled “Pride Month” by the activist Left. Originally linked to what is called the “Stonewall Uprising,” Pride Month symbolizes glowing affirmation of LGBTQ identity.
