On November 11, 2023, the Red Hat Ladies met in the home of Lynn Marquis for our Thanksgiving Dinner, and it was delicious! We did a potluck dinner with turkey, dressing, sweet potatoes and all the extras that go with a Thanksgiving Dinner. We enjoyed our friends and good food.

At the recent Holdenville City Council meeting, crucial information regarding the safety and well-being of Holdenville Lake Dam was revealed as the Oklahoma Water Resources Board (OWRB) issued its annual lake dam report. The OWRB plays a pivotal role in ensuring the safety of over 4,700 jurisdictional size dams across the state, providing essential design standards and technical assistance for dam construction, repair, and maintenance.

HOLDENVILLE CITY COUNCIL APPROVES INCREASES IN EMPLOYEE BENEFITS

In a recent Holdenville City Council meeting, a significant step was taken to recognize and appreciate the dedication of the city’s long-term employees. Holdenville City Manager Larry Mitchell presented a memo requesting an adjustment to the longevity bonuses and increases for city employees, marking the first revision of this policy since February 2016.
